Abstract Art 21-22 October 2017
Abstract Art Course
Last weeks Abstract Art course was attended by a small group of students this time, and we did some amazing explorations of different subject matter learning how to use them as inspiration for Abstract compositions. Students explored mark making and how to build them in layers to create interesting dialogues between the various shapes, forms, tones, colours, etc – basically how to use all the Art Elements together in dynamic and interesting ways.
Sudesh said of the course, “Eye opening, exploring your own possibilities discovering new techniques even if you are not asking to be an abstract artist. Very calm and encouraging atmosphere.” It was great to see how ell the group absorbed the new ideas and translated it to suit their own personalities. And so please Sudesh realized that the fundamental principles I teach on the course can actually be used in whatever kind of art work you like to create – not only Abstract Art.
