For various reasons this was an unusually small group of students. However, we have been used to working with smaller groups during the pandemic and the weekend was very successful. The students were new to painting and to acrylic paints so this was the ideal course for them. It begins with the very basic aspects of using acrylic paints then builds learners skills and confidence throughout the weekend. They learned about the properties of acrylics and experimented with technique and colour before completing various tasks. The resulting outcomes were effectively painted still-life compositions. The students were delighted and very keen to continue painting with acrylics. Read further to find out what the students thought of their experience.
