Ancoats Visual Arts is an untutored art group for creative people where you can be part of a supportive friendly social community. Join us for drawing, painting or crafting on a weekly basis. Becoming a regular member will help boost your creative confidence and wellbeing, while giving you a regular dose of inspiration for your next project.

We are a small yet vibrant mixed-media arts and crafting group. The AVA group supports local residents of Ancoats and Beswick as well as further afield from around Greater Manchester to pursue their passion for creativity, friendship, and community connections.
Everyone interested in arts + crafts is welcome to join. No previous experience is required. Members will enjoy peer-support from a friendly group of amateur artists.

Book your place early as booking closes 1 day before session date.

Suitable for: Adult, absolute-beginners to experienced
Tuesday art group:

First time I’ve ever put anything into an exhibition and won a trophy. My painting was awarded highly commended by the judge. BUZZING.

All thanks to the AVA members with the encouragement, support and sharing of knowledge they have given me and learning how to paint.

If you are a little nervous about trying an art class then this is the perfect place for you. Brian is an excellent teacher and the space is a perfect escape from adult life.
