I am looking for an art class for my very mature 10 year old. She loves art and paints in acrylic an draws. She now needs to progress and get further guidance as she is beyond me. Please could you advise if you have any courses suitable, we live locally and it would be fantastic if you could meet her and see her art work. Thank you
4 October 2017 @ 8:08 pm
Thanks for your interest. Unfortunately 10 years old is too young for my art courses. I am just starting to plan some Summer activities for August 2018 and if I have the time to get them up and running, they may be suitable for your daughter. Keep an eye on the website. Best regards, Brian

I’m looking for a daytime class where I can improve my drawing and or painting skills. I’ve always painted and drawn but have got stuck in a rut and need to have guidence and tuition so I can move forward. Your courses sound ideal but I wasn’t sure which one o should go for or how much they cost. Please could you help instruct me on this. Thanks a lot.
15 August 2017 @ 9:48 pm
Your courses sound really interesting. I like all manner of art but have become stuck in a rut and think I need some guidance and help to learn more techniques so I can improve. Which course would you suggest and about how much do the lessons cost?
16 August 2017 @ 5:58 am
From what you tell me, I would suggest either the weekend Creative drawing course (£125), or the Drawing Techniques course over 6 x evenings (£185). Have a read of the course pages and email me directly if you have any further questions. Always happy to help. Regards, Brian.
19 July 2017 @ 12:46 pm
Hello, I have been drawing ever since I remember myself but recent years I have neglected my skill and would like to catch up with it. I did 2 year artschool 12 years ago I do remember the basics, however I’m not sure should I revisit the beginners class or go for something more advanced. Looking forward to your advice.
19 July 2017 @ 7:07 pm
Good to hear from you. I would suggest either of the 2 ‘next step’ courses and any of the other weekend or evening courses. If your art is very ‘fine art’ orientated I would suggest you read about the Drawing Techniques evening course. Otherwise any other that takes your fancy. Hope this helps. email direct if you want any more detailed guidance. best regards, Bx
6 May 2017 @ 10:37 pm

8 May 2017 @ 7:09 pm

13 January 2017 @ 3:46 pm
Hi, I’m interested in the day time acrylic class starting 17th.January. A couple of questions;
Are there places available on the course?
Is there convenient car parking?
How much does he course cost?
13 January 2017 @ 9:26 pm
Thanks for contacting me. I have emailed you direct, but;
Hope Mill has its own large off road car park. Although parking is on a first come basis, as the course is on a Tuesday morning there will probably be plenty of available space. There is also parking on the road directly outside.
The course for Spring term 1 and Spring term 2 have been discounted to £55 for each of the two 5 week blocks, from the full cost of £70.
There are still places available.
Booking can be done via the website by clicking here.
8 January 2017 @ 12:12 pm
Do you do a watercolour evening or weekend classes ?
8 January 2017 @ 9:00 pm
The daytime class is the only watercolour class I offer. Sorry about that but the studio is kept busy with loads of other weekend and evening courses. If I can help in other way, please let me know. Kind regards, Brian.

18 September 2016 @ 12:33 pm
Please can you send me more information. I am a disabled pensioner and need disabled access
19 September 2016 @ 6:26 pm
Unfortunately, being in a Grade 2 listed ex-textile Mill, we do not have fully disabled access. Although we do have a other wheelchair users using the studio, we do not meet all the usual disability access facilities you probably enjoy in modern buildings. However your ability to attend my courses will depend on the level of disabled access you require as I do have other students in wheelchairs who attend with some support from a friend. Hope this helps, Best regards, Brian
2 January 2016 @ 12:29 pm

25 October 2015 @ 11:11 am
Thanks for contacting me. I have lots of different courses suited to beginners. Apart form the ‘Begin to draw and paint’ course, all my other courses are designed for mixed ability groups, so you will be able to fit in with any of the classes. I have emailed you directly with a more detailed response. I hope to meet you and your husband soon. 20 April 2015 @ 10:53 pm
Hi, I’m interested in the art element course as I’m a completely beginner and have never learnt to draw before. I see there are art element 1 & 2. Are they related or the same course? Am I suitable with this course with no experience at all ? Your reply is eagerly waited.
21 April 2015 @ 6:23 am
The Art Elements course is perfectly suited to beginners so no need to worry about that. I am experienced at teaching classes of mixed ability students – everyone works to their own level and learns from each other as well as from my teaching and guidance. Art elements 1 and 2 are the same course. There are a few places available for the course starting on Wed 22 (tomorrow).
Hope this helps, regards
25 May 2015 @ 11:12 pm
I would like to register for the art elements course that will start from 10th Jun in the studio calendar, but I can’t find the links for the register and the payment . Can you help me with that please? Regards
18 March 2015 @ 4:08 pm
Hi. This looks ideal – can you email me? Just not sure whether I would gain more from weekend intensive course or other. I need to get my creative juices flowing for a portfolio that is required pre- entry to art therapy course. Very imminent. Your response is eagerly awaited! Aimee
18 March 2015 @ 6:00 pm
It sounds like the ‘weekend intensive’ would suit you perfectly and get you fired up to complete your portfolio in time. I think a burst of creativity over one weekend would be better for you than a steady week-by-week course. If you have any more questions please feel free to email me directly.
