Finally, after 4 months of Cornavirus lockdown I was allowed to hold courses again. With much reduced class sizes (just 5 students max) and loads of mitigations in place to reduce risk as much as possible the Begin to draw + paint course was the first course held to mark the unlocking of lockdown. It was great to be back!!
And judging by the comments made by the students they thoroughly enjoyed meeting people outside what had become a very small social circle during the previous 4 months of lockdown. Read further to find out what the students thought of their experiences on the course.
“Go for it – it’s supportive, informative and relaxed.” My course highlight was “using acrylic to paint – just using 3 colours.”
“Very flexible and adapts to needs of teh student. Open to lots of questions. Very positive experience of new media. Explored new media – pastels, charcoal, acrylics and learned new watercolour techniques.”
“Wonderful, perfectly paced, unpressured and very informative. Good watercolour tips; first time with acrylics – interesting; good strategy for drawing; I’ve got more self confidence now.” My course highlight was “just a very gentle and relaxing weekend away from it all.”
“Brilliant! Good variety of techniques and good balance of learning and doing.” My course highlight was “using charcoal.”
