The first short workshop from the 3 that are the Modern Master series – it was a delight to teach students about Cezanne and show them what they can learn from the artist and how to apply this knowledge and techniques to their own work. As Sue explains, ‘this is a great opportunity to learn about Cezanne from Brian, to discover his use of personal composition and colour’. I was so proud of the students’ achievements during the short workshop – their drawings really demonstrated how they had taken on board what was taught and applied it in their own personal ways.
