Cityscapes: urban sketching – May 2019
“At the end I really felt confident and safe in knowledge I had learnt something”.
Roger S
My spring Urban sketching course took place last weekend with a fab group of 8 students. Mostly beginners but some with more drawing experience who were wanting to learn new techniques to use and brush up on their perspective. I cater for all levels so it was great to see how students developed and grew in confidence by the end of the weekend. As Heather said of her experience, “Friendly atmosphere, opportunity to try new techniques, very supportive”. I make sure I give as much 1:1 support and guidance as students need to ensure all students progress, enjoy themselves and leave with their skills and confidence boosted. read further to find out what the other students thought of the course.

“Brian structured the days really well which is what I needed to build my skills and confidence. And when things weren’t going well and I couldn’t see why he stepped in with the perfect solution. Brian is gentle, supportive and knows what he is talking about.” My course highlights are being “…really pleased with the sketches I brought home. Seeing what getting brave with tone can do.”
