Course Options
Courses offer an experiential drawing experience with practical drawing exercises drawing directly from either still life objects or a studio life model. Courses are fully-structured with an ambitious hands-on teaching style with plenty of 1:1 guided support, encouragement, and age-appropriate critique.
Course content will compliment core learning at A-Level, College, HND, BTEC, FDAD, and university level studies. Course delivery is tailored to the differing needs of each level of study and the focus for the specific course module.
Drawing from observation is a foundational artistic practice that helps develop rendering skills, builds creative confidence in visual perception, and helps develop a personal creative style and artistic voice in our young artists and designers.
Drawing and developing visual thinking skills is crucial to furthering innovation across the creative sectors from fine art, design, illustration, product design, architecture and engineering. Drawings completed during these courses will become a valuable addition to students’ submission portfolio for accessing their next level of study.
All courses interpret key ideas developed by internationally renowned artist and author Heather Spears in her book ‘The Creative Eye’ .
