Expressive drawing, L1 – March 2019
As there is so much fantastic instruction anybody can start from a beginner onwards.”
On a lovely spring afternoon, we gathered in the studio with warm sunshine shining through the windows to learn about creating personal expressive contemporary still life drawings. It was a busy weekend working through exercises and creative tasks with support from myself as well as time for students to explore and experiment on their own. Roger thought he course was “Excellent, fabulous”, David thought it “Very helpful” and Lisa said she found it “enjoyable, informative and professionally run weekend where numerous skills were learnt and different mediums were provided to use”. Read further to discover what the other students thought about their own experience.

“I have learn tot be more experimental and work outside my comfort zone. Starting with basic sketches and techniques and eventually putting it into practice. As there is so much fantastic instruction anybody can start from a beginner onwards.”
“Great opportunity to meet fellow artists, move outside your comfort zone and use new materials. Got lots of advice/encouragement from Brian. Perfect studio environment with lots of light”. My course highlight was “being able to take greatly improved work home. Definitely improved as the weekend progressed.”
