Expressive drawing, L1 – Oct 2019

I feel inspired and much more confident in my abilities.”

Alisa O

On a wonderful weekend in early October I taught another Creative Drawing: introduction course. Yet again, I was not disappointed with how the students engaged in the exercises, techniques, experimentation, and pushed themselves when drawing their final piece of the weekend. Victoria called it ‘a journey of discovery and a challenge to preconceived ideas of what you can’t do”. Pushing through personal boundaries and achieving more than students thought they could, is a common experience. Read further to find out what the other students thought.

“It’s a nice mix of different art materials and techniques. You need to be ready to get stuck in and on with it. There’s an assumption of a bit of previous knowledge. I haven’t really drawn at all before so I feel I’ve learnt a lot of basics. It’s a relaxed atmosphere and we fitted a lot in.”
Jennie M

“Good experience of a fun weekend. A fun-packed weekend.” My course highlight is ‘the fact that I can ‘do’ things straight away.”
