Expressive drawing, l1 – Jan-Feb 2020

“A wonderful journey through the basics of drawing with a pencil to discovering more expressive ways to draw with different materials and styles. The future looks very exciting with these new skills to explore.”

The Creative drawing: introduction course over 4 x Monday mornings with a great group of students all eager to start their year with creativity, enthusiasm, and creative drawing. Sadly a few had to drop out for personal reasons, but the rest of the group got on well and supported each other’s creativity and learning. Enjoyed teaching the students the fundamentals of drawing, and then helping them develop in more creative ways with a variety of materials as the weekend progressed.

“Don’t hesitate to book this course. As a beginner I found Brian to be extremely patient and friendly. I have learnt many things that will give me the impetus to carry on drawing. Many techniques involved. Not really got a course highlight – everything was beneficial.”

“Brian clearly enjoys teaching and he is so good at it -he takes the class through steps from detailed drawing to free expressive drawing. With his enthusiasm and feedback its possible to create amazing work. I have learnt so much from how to create a more precise drawing to allowing myself to be much freerer and be less concerned with the outcome.”
