Paid Opportunities

Watercolour + soluble materials tutor

I am currently looking for an experienced watercolour and soluble materials tutor who can tutor adult students of various ability levels in a mixed media approach to using water colour, gouache, soluble pencil crayon, etc.
Salary is by negotiation.

Please note: I am not looking for a traditional water colour tutor.

Applicants should demonstrate;

  • qualifications in art
  • qualifications in teaching
  • teaching experience within secondary school, art college, or university
  • knowledge and experience in teaching mixed-ability adult groups
  • skills in using the required mediums
  • CV outlining personal and career history, contact details, etc

This is a part-time (session-based) self employed post, and applicants will require;

  • Public Liability Insurance
  • Enhanced DBS certificate
  • Proof of being registered self-employed (UTR number).

 

Portrait models

Our life drawing group (CLDM) requires clothed portrait models to sit for our monthly portrait drawing sessions.  Some experience is useful but not essential.
Our standard portrait modelling fee is paid.

 

Life models

Our life drawing group (CLDM) requires highly experienced nude life models to pose for our weekly life drawing sessions.  Experience is essential. 
Our standard life modelling fee is paid.

Please outline your modelling experience with;

  • a list of groups or organisations you have modelled for
  • reference contact details
  • a few images of drawings done during previous modelling sessions

Unpaid volunteer Opportunities

Social Media Marketing

We are looking for a university business/marketing student or recent graduate who is looking for experience in building a company social media profile.

Applicants should demonstrate;

  • Proof of student registration, or degree certificate if a recent graduate
  • Outline why they are the right person to be trusted with our social media accounts and their understanding of our customer base after viewing our website
  • Briefly explain their strategy for building and establishing a vibrant, customer focused social media profile 
  • CV outlining personal and career history, contact details, etc

AVA art group workshop facilitator

The AVA art group have an opportunity for a volunteer to support the group of adults in their weekly peer-led art sessions.  They would welcome someone with experience in a range of art techniques who has a passion for supporting and inspiring adults in a relaxed and social environment.

They will need skills in delivering creative workshops and guiding adults while allowing group members to express their individuality within any tasks and projects they set.  Experience of working with community groups in a collaborative, friendly and supportive manner is essential and the choice of workshops delivered for the group will need to be mutually agreed.
Public transport costs can be redeemed.

Applicants should demonstrate;

  • experience of running adult-focused practical art workshops with mixed-ability groups
  • qualifications (not essential) in art, teaching, or other disciplines.
  • skills in using a range of art materials and techniques
  • CV outlining personal and career history, contact details, etc

This is a part-time (session-based) voluntary post, and applicants will require;

  • Enhanced DBS certificate (or the willingness to apply for one)
