Creative Wellbeing drop-in
The Creative Wellbeing drop-in sessions have a well-planned programme of creative arts projects that students can access at their own pace. Projects explore line and mark-making, tone, colour, texture, form, composition, visual dynamics, and shape. The perfect boost for wellbeing, mental health, creative enjoyment, and confidence.
Creative Wellbeing projects
The weekly creative wellbeing projects give students the opportunity to work with a variety of drawing, painting and mixed media materials and techniques while exploring different styles such as realistic, semi-abstract or abstract, depending on personal preferences. Students may continue working on projects as long as they wish – perfect for taking home for the weekend. Flexibility is key!
The range of creative 2D and 3D projects on offer will include, amongst others, in no particular order;
- Still life drawing in variety of materials from pencil, charcoal, soft pastels and charcoal
- Expressive drawing enabling you to re-imagine the subject matter in personal styles
- Abstract art making in a range of different materials and techniques
- Zen-doodle meditative design
- Paper sculpture
- Wire modelling
- Expressive art games for relaxation, fun, and creativity

For absolute-beginners to start learning art for the first time. Teaching focuses on core skills with step-by-step instructions.
Level 1: Beginner
For beginners looking to establish, refresh and gain confidence in fundamental core techniques.
Level 2: Improver
For improvers who already have the basics and wish to develop and enhance their skills and techniques further.
Level 3: Intermediate
For those students with a growing, but limited, amount of art experience who feel confident in their art knowledge and skills yet recognise the need for further creative learning to take their art to the next level.
Level 4: Experienced
For those students with creative experience who feel confident in their abilities and techniques, who are looking to challenge themselves further, to create a coherent body of work, possibly to exhibit and sell.
