This workshop offers you creative projects, drawing exercises, and opportunities to freely express yourself with your newly learned ink drawing skills.
Power of black Indian Ink
Indian ink has a richness of tone that when combined with the range and finesse of drawing with a traditional dip pen enables you to explore a wide range of styles. Combined with tonal ink washes applied with a brush you will discover exciting new creative drawing styles.
Vibrant colour of drawing ink
Drawing inks have vibrant translucent colour that opens up a vast range of self-expressive opportunities. Using a range of drawing tools from natural sticks, brushes and pipettes you will embark on a mixed-media exploration of ink that encompasses the moody tones of Indian ink and the vibrancy of drawing ink to create personally self-expressive drawings.
By the end of the course…
You will go home having learnt a range of new ink drawing techniques and a deeper understanding of the specific qualities of both Indian and drawing inks. You will feel inspired with a greater confidence in drawing with inks.
