“As a complete novice to art I felt comfortable exploring drawing skills using different materials. I was able to ask questions without feeling stupid and with a small group we encouraged and supported one another along the way.”

Weekly art projects

Weekly creative art projects give students the opportunity to work with a variety of drawing, painting and mixed media materials and techniques.

There is opportunity to explore different styles such as realistic, semi-abstract or abstract, depending on personal preferences.

Students may take as long as they wish working on a project: complete it during the class, continue at home during the rest of the week, or continue over multiple weeks. Either way, every class will offer fresh new ideas – flexibility is key!

Benefits of attending

Regular attendance at the Weekly Art Class allows students the time to become aware of their own interests and the direction, themes and imagery they would like to explore in their own art.

Personal self-expression

We are a creative arts studio so always encourage personal interpretation and self-expression in students’ work.

Supportive tutor-led teaching

Students will experience an encouraging, patient and inclusive teacher-led approach to teaching. There will be lots of one-to-one support for everyone!

Flexible booking

Students have the option of flexibly booking blocks of 4-classes, or more, in a pattern that suits them – regularly on an ongoing basis, or with breaks in between. Select the ‘Class dates’ drop-down menu to choose.

Student Quotes

“A wonderful opportunity to explore the Art Elements + Art principles by learning about drawing methodology, measuring, depth, perspective, composition and focal points. I feel I have grown in confidence.” My course highlights have been that “the course has helped build on the skills learned so far, with Brian‘s help and support. Wonderful;!” Sue M
“I was surprised at how hard I had to think at times, we experimented with lots of materials that affected how we drew. There was a lot to think about – Art Elements, Principles of Art – all things to take into account. Really enjoyed having a go with new materials.” My course highlight was “the day we looked at colour – understanding analogous and complimentary colours and then having a go at home.”
