Natasha D
“Strongly recommend. Relaxing, thoughtful and pleasurable learning experience.”
Philip L
“I had not drawn in 10 years. Really helpful… It was genuinely great. Nothing to add.”

“I started the course as a beginner. I have literally learnt everything – line, tone, colour, space, texture, pattern. I have also learnt confidence to try varied types of art and to experiment. This has been achieved by Brian’s careful lesson planning and his interest in individual problems.”

I attended the creative drawing course last weekend and found the whole experience extremely rewarding. Good to learn about the development of modern art, to learn about being confident about mark making, about different mediums and their properties. Good to try lots of techniques to stimulate the artistic process and explore where that takes me. Brian is a really engaged and helpful tutor who encouraged me to go down roads Im sure I would normally not go down, but they do lead to some interesting places. And what always amazes me is how all the people on the course, when given the same task always end up with some pretty diverse results

A great introduction into creating art. The course covers the very basics of drawing and gave me a perfect start to a new hobby. Brian is friendly and informative and gives excellent 1-2-1 help. This short weekend course is a brilliant way of discovering a passion for art and will introduce you to various art materials, tricks and tips which will help you in creating your own early masterpieces.

I found this an excellent approach to really seeing, capturing and recording what you are actually looking at, using a wide range of media – as well as being a talented artist Brian is an excellent teacher
